About Rachel McClaine — MA
Psychology Doctoral Practicum Student
Rachel McClaine, MA is a sixth-year doctoral candidate in the Clinical Psychology Program at Case Western Reserve University. She holds her master’s degree in psychology and has a strong background in evidence-based treatment, with a focus on child and family therapy. She has been trained in CBT, TF-CBT, PCIT, and PMT and has experience treating anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, ADHD, behavior problems, and family relational challenges. Ms. McClaine is also passionate about the use of play to make therapy accessible to young children. Ms. McClaine’s prior training includes work in hospitals, community mental health centers, and outpatient practice. In addition, Ms. McClaine has trained extensively in comprehensive psychodiagnostic and neuropsychological evaluation for learning disorders, ADHD, mood/anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, and intellectual developmental disorders. She has experience assessing individuals from age 1 through young adulthood and providing individualized recommendations to support emotional, behavioral, academic, and family functioning. Ms. McClaine provides strengths-based feedback with practical recommendations to help parents and clients feel informed, supported, and confident in next steps.
