About Danielle Fleurant — MA

Danielle, a dedicated graduate student in Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, brings compassion and expertise to her clinical internship at Larsen Behavioral Wellness. Trained under the rigorous standards of the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) and the New Jersey Professional Counselor Examiners Committee, she is equipped to guide you on your journey toward mental wellness.

She has extensive experience supporting individuals and families under stress, both in the nonprofit sector and in educational settings. Danielle is passionate about fostering resilience and self-compassion as clients work toward growth and healing.

Danielle strives to cultivate a safe and supportive atmosphere for honest sharing. While therapy provides an outlet for emotional processing, it is also a space to develop practical skills for navigating life’s challenges. She views the therapeutic process as collaborative, and her approach is highly individualized and tailored to each client’s presenting concerns and goals. A strengths-based perspective underpins her practice, as she believes it is essential for clients to feel empowered in coping with and managing difficulties.

Her goal is for clients to experience improvements in how they think, feel, and behave. Greater awareness and self-compassion not only foster a healthier relationship with oneself but also strengthen connections across professional, academic, and personal domains.
